3 Clicks Cloud for Adobe Illustrator

Public support for the StyleChain Adobe Illustrator plugin. Use this page to check requirements, install the panel, sign in, and contact support. This page is separate from the in-app documentation portal.

Before you start

Have Illustrator 23.0 or later installed, a 3 Clicks Cloud account, and a working internet connection.

ApplicationAdobe Illustrator 23.0 (CC 2019) or later, on macOS or Windows
Panel name3 Clicks Cloud under Window > Extensions
AccountA 3 Clicks Cloud login — the same email and password you use in the web application
NetworkOutbound access to 3 Clicks Cloud so the panel can sign in and load Style, Order, and Drive files

Illustrator only. The plugin does not run in Photoshop, InDesign, or other Adobe apps. If 3 Clicks Cloud is missing from Window > Extensions, confirm you are in Illustrator 23.0 or later and that Illustrator was fully quit during install.

Install the plugin

Install from Adobe Exchange / Creative Cloud, then open the panel in Illustrator.

  1. Install 3 Clicks Cloud from the Adobe listing (Creative Cloud desktop app, or the Adobe Exchange page you used to find this plugin).
  2. Fully quit Adobe Illustrator if it is already open — closing the window is not enough; quit the application.
  3. Open Adobe Illustrator.
  4. Go to Window > Extensions > 3 Clicks Cloud.
  5. The 3 Clicks Cloud panel opens. Sign in before you browse Style, Order, or Drive files.

After a first install, Illustrator sometimes caches the extensions menu. If the panel is missing, quit Illustrator completely, wait a few seconds, then reopen it and check Window > Extensions again.

The panel uses your 3 Clicks Cloud account. It does not use your Adobe ID for StyleChain data.

  1. Open Window > Extensions > 3 Clicks Cloud.
  2. Enter the email and password for your 3 Clicks Cloud account.
  3. Sign in and wait for the panel to load your recent Style and Order items.

You stay signed in on this computer until you sign out of the panel.

Adobe ID will not sign you in. Use the email address your organisation issued for 3 Clicks Cloud. If you do not have an account — including Adobe reviewers who need to evaluate the panel — email support@stylechain.com and we will help you get access.

What the plugin does

Once you are signed in, the 3 Clicks Cloud panel lets designers work with PLM files without leaving Illustrator.

Style and Order

Browse recent Style and Order records, and open supported files (.ai, .svg, .pdf).

Drive

Open Drive files Illustrator can use. Unsupported formats stay in the web application and are hidden from the plugin list.

Preview Images and PDFs

Upload and update files, including Preview Images. Edit PDFs in Illustrator and save them back to 3 Clicks Cloud.

In-panel assistant

Ask design questions such as similar styles without leaving Illustrator.

Support

Email support@stylechain.com for install help, sign-in issues, or a review/demo account.

Troubleshooting

Most issues are a full Illustrator quit, an Adobe ID instead of a 3 Clicks Cloud login, or an unsupported Drive format.

Why is 3 Clicks Cloud missing from Window > Extensions?

Illustrator is often still running in the background, or the app is older than 23.0. Quit Illustrator completely, confirm the plugin is installed, reopen Illustrator 23.0 or later, then open Window > Extensions > 3 Clicks Cloud.

Why are my sign-in details not accepted?

The panel authenticates against 3 Clicks Cloud, not Adobe. Use your 3 Clicks Cloud email and password, confirm they work in the web application, and check your internet connection.

I do not have a 3 Clicks Cloud account

Email support@stylechain.com, say that you need access for the Adobe Illustrator plugin, and include your name, company, and whether you are reviewing the listing or onboarding as a customer.

Why can I not open a Drive file?

The plugin Drive list only shows formats Illustrator can open, such as .ai, .svg, and .pdf. Re-save or convert the file if you need to open it from the panel.
